Since each of the structural unit of glutamic acid contains a plurality of hydrophilic groups, a large amount of hydrogen bonds can be formed between the molecular chain and water, which makes Sodium Polyglutamate have a good water absorption and moisture retention. Sodium Polyglutamate with higher molecular weight makes the skin feel smooth.
